This course aims to provide physiotherapy students with a comprehensive understanding of human anatomy, covering the structure, organization, and function of body systems. Additionally, it seeks to equip students with the skills to apply anatomical knowledge in a physiotherapy context, integrating theoretical foundations with practical applications specific to the field. Students will gain knowledge of both gross anatomy and surface anatomy, enabling them to identify and locate anatomical structures through physical examination and palpation. Upon completion, students should be able to:
- Identify key anatomical structures and their surface projections
- Recognize the anatomical basis of medical conditions
- Interpret radiological images to distinguish normal and pathological structures
- Apply anatomical knowledge to enhance physiotherapy diagnosis and treatment
- Integrate knowledge of human anatomy into patient management, leveraging radiological and surface anatomy in various physiotherapy settings to inform assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
